The knowledge and experience available in our projects department ensures that our customers receive a first class and complete service, from the initial enquiry through to final commissioning of the equipment.  

Our projects department undertakes everything you require. A site visit and survey to establish requirements is followed by discussions with you on suitable equipment and budgets. A full quotation, with alternatives if relevant, is prepared and submitted for approval.  

Once an order has been received, we project manage the installation with a full consultation with the client, from the very beginning through to making sure the site is left clean and tidy after completion. We can also offer an independent consultancy service, which would include design preparation, specification, drawings and project management.

Equipment and installation to suit your needs:  

As we are an independent company, we are not compelled to use any specific equipment manufacturer. We are therefore able to select from the widest possible range, and to suggest the equipment we believe would be the best for your particular project and budget.  

This ranges from the smallest split air conditioning system for small offices and residential applications, through to the most sophisticated Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV/VRF) systems for the larger commercial projects. We also design and install the necessary integrated fresh air / heat recovery and extract systems. We are fully equipped with CAD systems enabling us to provide full proposal, working and record drawings.   

Energy efficiency:

• It is our duty as a responsible contractor to specify and install energy efficient equipment.
• There is a now a legal requirement, with effect from April 2007, that all installations and modifications to any energy consuming installation (e.g. air conditioning, heating, electrical or water storage systems) must be approved by the relevant Council's Building Control Department to ensure they provide an energy efficient solution. This involves producing documentation for their approval before commencing any work and could involve considerable delays to any project. Any unapproved company must obtain permission before starting work. However Risby Air Conditioning has been audited by and is a member of BESCA Competent Company Scheme (registration number BHV002560) and we are therefore approved to self-certify all work carried out and to take complete responsibility for ensuring any work complies with the necessary building regulations.
